The Padres (75-70) defeated the San Francisco Giants (95-51) by a score of 9-6 in the third of four games at Oracle Park. Joe Musgrove (11-9, 2.99) gave up three runs on five hits and three walks with four strikeouts in six innings. Brandon Crawford scored on an Evan Longoria double in the second inning. Thairo Estrada hit a solo home run in the third inning. Kris Bryant hit a solo home run in the sixth inning. Steven Duggar and Brandon Belt each hit solo home runs in the seventh inning. Belt scored on a Buster Posey single in the ninth inning.

Dominic Leone (3-4, 1.80) once again opened a bullpen game for the Giants, allowing two runs on two hits and no walks with a strikeout in a third of an inning. Adam Frazier doubled with the bases loaded in the first inning to drive in Jurickson Profar & Fernando Tatis Jr. Trent Grisham scored on Manny Machado‘s ground-rule double and Eric Hosmer‘s single scored Tatis Jr. & Machado in the second inning. Profar hit a two-run home run with Ha-Seong Kim on base in the seventh inning. Frazier came home on a Grisham sacrifice fly and Wil Myers singled to drive in Austin Nola in the ninth inning.
