Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after a couple of days of partying with fellow Padres fans in the Gaslamp. The occasional memory refresher can come in handy. Here’s a friendly reminder of what we may have missed while we were drinking.

Losing Pitcher: Joey Lucchesi (7-6, 4.23)
The Padres (50-58) scored fewer runs, 8-2, than the Los Angeles Dodgers (72-39) in the first of four games at Dodger Stadium. Joey Lucchesi (7-6, 4.23) gave up four runs on four hits and three walks with four strikeouts in five and two-thirds innings. Cody Bellinger hit a solo home run in the second inning. Will Smith hit a grand slam home run and Kristopher Negron scored on a Matt Beaty double in the sixth inning. Corey Seager and A.J. Pollock scored on Bellinger’s double in the seventh inning.
Clayton Kershaw (10-2, 2.85) allowed two runs on six hits and five walks while striking out five in six innings. Hunter Renfroe hit a solo home run in the second inning. Austin Hedges scored on Manny Machado‘s single in the third inning.
