Joe Musgrove (4-6, 2.50) allowed three runs on four hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in six and a third innings. Francisco Lindor hit a two-run home run in the first inning. Lindor scored on a ground out by Dominic Smith in the sixth inning. Jonathan Villar hit a solo home run in the eighth inning.
Marcus Stroman (6-4, 2.33) gave up one run on six hits and a walk with eight strikeouts in six and a third innings. Fernando Tatis Jr. hit a solo home run to lead off the seventh inning.
