The Padres (30-17) defeated the Seattle Mariners (21-26) by a score of 9-2, completing the sweep of their three-series at Petco Park. Yu Darvish (5-1, 1.75) allowed one run on seven hits and no walks with five strikeouts in seven innings. Sam Haggerty scored on a double by Justin Dunn in the fifth inning. A Jose Godoy single in the ninth inning scored Kyle Seager.

Dunn (1-2, 3.40) gave up one run on one hit and three walks with four strikeouts in five innings. Fernando Tatis Jr. hit a solo home run to leadoff the second inning. In the sixth inning, Tatis Jr. singled to drive in Jurickson Profar, Jake Cronenworth scored on Wil Myers‘ sacrifice fly, and Tatis Jr. came home on a Victor Caratini ground out. Tatis Jr. hit a grand slam home run in the seventh inning with Tommy Pham, Profar, and Cronenworth on base. Caratini scored on a Ha-Seong Kim triple in the eighth inning.
