Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after an entire year of watching baseball from anywhere other than the ballpark. The occasional memory refresher can come in handy. Here’s a reminder of what we may have missed while most of us were still staying at home.

Winning Pitcher: Yu Darvish (4-1, 1.81)
Losing Pitcher: Jon Gray (4-4, 3.48)
The Padres (25-17) defeated the Colorado Rockies (15-27) by a score of 7-0 in the first game of three at Petco Park. Yu Darvish (4-1, 1.81) pitched seven shutout innings, allowing four hits and no walks with ten strikeouts. Nabil Crismatt pitched the final two shutout innings without allowing a hit or walk.
Jon Gray (4-4, 3.48) gave up seven runs (five earned) over five and two-thirds innings on ten hits, a walk, and a strikeout. In the first inning, Manny Machado hit a two-run home run after Trent Grisham led off with triple and Jake Cronenworth scored after Jurickson Profar reached on an error charged to Gray. Victor Caratini‘s fourth inning double drove in Brian O’Grady & Profar. In the sixth inning, Profar scored on a single by Ha-Seong Kim and Darvish scored when Machado reached on Trevor Story‘s error.
