The Padres (27-17) defeated the Colorado Rockies (15-29) by a score of 3-0 at Petco Park, completing the sweep of their three-game series and extending their winning streak to six games. Joe Musgrove (4-4, 2.47) pitched seven shutout innings, giving up two hits and no walks while striking out eleven. Craig Stammen and Mark Melancon each pitched a scoreless inning of relief.

Chi Chi González (2-2, 4.54) allowed two runs on four hits and a walk with six strikeouts in six innings. Fernando Tatis Jr. hit a solo home run in the fourth inning. Jake Cronenworth hit an inside-the-park solo home run in the sixth inning. Trent Grisham scored on Tatis Jr.’s double in the eighth inning.
