Blake Snell (1-0, 3.79) gave up one run on five hits and a walk with eleven strikeouts over six innings. Josh Fuentes hit a double that drove in C.J. Cron in the second inning.

Austin Gomber (2-4, 4.96) allowed one run on five hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in six innings. Tommy Pham scored on Jurickson Profar‘s ground out in the second inning. Jorge Mateo scored on a wild pitch from Daniel Bard in the tenth inning.
