Losing Pitcher: Anthony DeSclafani (2-1, 2.00)

The Padres (16-12) defeated the San Francisco Giants (16-11) by a score of 6-2 in the second of three games at Petco Park. Blake Snell (1-0, 3.51) allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks while striking out six in five innings. Mauricio Dubón hit a solo home run and Darin Ruf singled to drive in Anthony DeSclafani in the fifth inning.

DeSclafani (2-1, 2.00) gave up three runs on three hits and two walks with three strikeouts in six innings. Manny Machado hit a three-run home run with Trent Grisham & Fernando Tatis Jr. on base in the first inning. Jurickson Profar led off the eighth inning with a pinch-hit solo home run and Jake Cronenworth‘s single drove in Tatis Jr. & Eric Hosmer.
