Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after an entire year of watching baseball from anywhere other than the ballpark. The occasional memory refresher can come in handy. Here’s a reminder of what we may have missed while most of us were still staying at home.

Losing Pitcher: Chris Paddack (1-3, 5.40)
The Padres (13-12) were defeated by the Arizona Diamondbacks (12-11) by a score of 5-1 in the first of two games at Chase Field. Chris Paddack (1-3, 5.40) gave up five runs (three earned) on six hits and no walks with five strikeouts in five and a third innings. Trent Grisham made a fielding error on a Nick Heath fly ball that brought Carson Kelly & Nick Ahmed in to score in the second inning. Josh Rojas scored on a single by David Peralta and Carson Kelly hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning.
Merrill Kelly (2-2, 6.33) allowed one run on four hits and two walks while striking out five in six innings. Fernando Tatis Jr. scored on a Manny Machado ground ball out in the sixth inning.
