Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after an entire year of watching baseball from anywhere other than the ballpark. The occasional memory refresher can come in handy. Here’s a reminder of what we may have missed while most of us were still staying at home.

The Padres (15-12) defeated the San Francisco Giants (16-10) by a score of 3-2 in the first game of three at Petco Park. Yu Darvish (3-1, 2.13) struck out twelve over six and a third innings, allowing one run on four hit and three walks. Buster Posey hit a solo home run in the first inning. Posey scored in the eighth inning when Evan Longoria ground into a bases-loaded double play.

Logan Webb (1-2, 4.13) gave up three runs on seven hits and a walk with four strikeouts in six innings. Trent Grisham scored on an Eric Hosmer single in the first inning. Jurickson Profar‘s sixth inning single drove in Hosmer and Jake Cronenworth.
