The Padres (77-75) defeated the San Francisco Giants by a score of 7-6 in ten innings in the finale of their three-game series at Petco Park. Yu Darvish (8-10, 4.21) allowed four runs on three hits and three walks with seven strikeouts in five and a third innings. Mike Yastrzemski hit a two-run home run in the second inning. Austin Slater hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning. Tommy La Stella‘s seventh inning double drove in Wilmer Flores.
Logan Webb (10-3, 3.04) gave up four runs on four hits and two walks while striking out two in four innings. Jurickson Profar was hit by a pitch with the bases-loaded allowing Adam Frazier to score, Fernando Tatis Jr. scored on a Trent Grisham sacrifice fly, Eric Hosmer scored on a single by Ha-Seong Kim, and Profar scored on a Victor Caratini single in the first inning. Grisham and Kim hit back-to-back solo home runs in the sixth inning. Caratini singled in the tenth to drive in Profar.
