Losing Pitcher: Ryan Weathers (4-5, 4.72)

The Padres (66-50) were defeated by the Miami Marlins (48-67) by a score of 7-0 in the finale of their three game series at Petco Park, Ryan Weathers (4-5, 4.72) gave up six runs on seven hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in four and two-thirds innings. Miguel Rojas scored on a double by Isan Diaz and Lewis Brinson hit a two-run home run in the first inning. Bryan De La Cruz hit a solo home run in the second inning. Brinson hit a solo home run in the third inning. Jorge Alfaro scored on Brian Anderson‘s fifth inning single. Rojas drew a bases-loaded walk in the eighth inning allowing Joe Panik to score.

Sandy Alcantara (7-10, 3.52) pitched seven shutout innings, allowing four hits and two walks while striking out seven.

While Weathers was certainly terrible, it's worth noting the offense has produced a whopping five baserunners in six innings, and only forced Alcantara to throw 88 pitches.
