The Padres (37-23) scored more runs than the San Francisco Giants (29-31) in the finale of their four-game series and the final game of the 2020 regular season, 5-4. Adrian Morejon (2-2, 4.66) gave up one run on three hits and no walks with four strikeouts in two and two-thirds innings. Mauricio Dubón hit a solo home run in the second inning. Brandon Crawford hit a two-run home run in the seventh inning. Wilmer Flores hit a solo home run in the eighth inning.

Drew Smyly (0-1, 3.42) allowed two runs on three hits and a walk while striking out ten in five innings. Wil Myers hit a solo home run in the second inning. Mitch Moreland doubled in the fourth inning to drive in Austin Nola. A Jorge Mateo ground-rule double drove in Jake Cronenworth, Jurickson Profar scored on a Greg Garcia sacrifice fly, and Myers hit a ground-rule double to drive in Mateo in the seventh inning.
