Dinelson Lamet (1-0, 1.72) allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits and two walks with two strikeouts in five and two-thirds innings. Justin Turner & Cody Bellinger scored on Corey Seager‘s single and an error by Trent Grisham in the sixth inning. A.J. Pollock drove in Austin Barnes with a double in the seventh inning. Chris Taylor singled in Bellinger in the eighth inning. Pollock hit a solo home run in the ninth inning.
Dustin May (1-0, 2.63) gave up two runs on three hits and a walk while striking out eight over six innings. Fernando Tatís Jr. hit a double to drive in Francisco Mejía in the third inning. Jake Cronenworth hit a solo home run in the fourth inning.
