Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after a couple of days of trying to login to Zoom meetings with fellow Padres fans. The occasional memory refresher can come in handy. Here’s a friendly reminder of what we may have missed while we were stuck in quarantine.

The Padres (6-2) scored more runs, 6-2, than the Colorado Rockies (4-2) in the first game of three at Coors Field. Garrett Richards (0-0, 3.38) allowed four runs on eight hits and a walk with six strikeouts over five and two-thirds innings. Charlie Blackmon hit a two-run home run in the first inning. Matt Kemp doubled to drive in Ryan McMahon & Sam Hilliard in the sixth inning. Trevor Story hit a solo home run in the seventh inning. In the ninth inning, David Dahl scored on a single by Blackmon and McMahon drew a bases-loaded walk to score Blackmon.
Jon Gray (0-0, 2.61) gave up three runs (two earned) on four hits and a walk while striking out two in five and two-thirds innings. In the sixth inning, Manny Machado singled to drive in Jake Cronenworth, Tommy Pham reached on a fielder’s choice & an error by Story that allowed Trent Grisham to score, and Machado came home on a wild pitch by Gray. Francisco Mejía scored on a single by Fernando Tatís Jr. in the seventh inning. In the ninth inning, Tatís Jr. hit a solo home run and Pham hit a three-run home run with Grisham & Machado on base.
