The Padres (6-4) scored fewer runs, 9-6, than the Colorado Rockies (6-2) in the final game of their three-game series at Coors Field. Zach Davies (1-1, 4.50) allowed three runs on four hits and a walk with two strikeouts over five innings. Daniel Murphy hit a solo home run in the second inning. Matt Kemp hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning. Ryan McMahon hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning. In the seventh inning, David Dahl singled to drive in Chris Owings, Charlie Blackmon doubled to score Dahl & Trevor Story, and Murphy singled to score Blackmon.

Antonio Senzatela (2-0, 2.45) gave up one run on a hit and a walk while striking out six in six innings. Manny Machado doubled to drive in Jake Cronenworth in the sixth inning. In the eighth inning, Machado singled to score Fernando Tatís Jr. and Wil Myers hit a bases-loaded triple to drive in Machado, Tommy Pham, & Greg Garcia. Josh Naylor scored on a Ty France groundout in the ninth inning.
