Freddy Galvis hit a two-run home run and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hit a solo home run back-to-back in the fifth inning.
Trent Thornton (1-4, 4.42) allowed three runs on four hits and three walk while striking out ten in six innings. Austin Hedges hit a solo home run and Franmil Reyes scored on an Eric Hosmer single in the third inning. Greg Garcia hit a solo home run in the fifth inning.
