Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after a couple of days of partying with fellow Padres fans in the Gaslamp. The occasional memory refresher can come in handy. Here’s a friendly reminder of what we may have missed while we were drinking.

The Padres (27-24) scored more runs than the Toronto Blue Jays (20-31), 6-3, in the first of three games at Rogers Centre. Joey Lucchesi (3-3, 4.25) struck out a career-high eleven Blue Jays in six and two-thirds innings, giving up three runs on three hits and a walk. Freddy Galvis hit a two-run home run and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hit a solo home run back-to-back in the fifth inning.

Trent Thornton (1-4, 4.42) allowed three runs on four hits and three walk while striking out ten in six innings. Austin Hedges hit a solo home run and Franmil Reyes scored on an Eric Hosmer single in the third inning. Greg Garcia hit a solo home run in the fifth inning. Hunter Renfroe hit a go-ahead three-run home run in the eighth inning.
