Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after a couple of days of partying with fellow Padres fans in the Gaslamp. The occasional memory refresher can come in handy. Here’s a friendly reminder of what we may have missed while we were drinking.

The Padres (18-15) scored fewer runs than the Los Angeles Dodgers (21-13), 4-3, in the first of three games at Petco Park. Eric Lauer (2-3, 4.30) allowed two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out five in five-plus innings. Chris Taylor hit a solo home run in the fifth inning. Kike Hernandez scored on a sacrifice fly by Corey Seager in the sixth inning. Austin Barnes hit a solo home run in the seventh inning. Barnes scored the go-ahead run on a Max Muncy single in the ninth inning.
Clayton Kershaw (1-0, 2.77) pitched six innings, giving up three runs on six hits and a walk with six strikeouts. Manny Machado hit a two-run home run in the first inning. Ian Kinsler hit a solo home run in the third inning.
