Losing Pitcher: Joe Musgrove (4-5, 2.33)

The Padres (36-24) were defeated by a score of 4-0 by the New York Mets (28-23) in the third of four games at Petco Park. Joe Musgrove (4-5, 2.33) allowed three runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out ten over five innings. Jose Peraza and Francisco Lindor each hit a solo home run in the fifth inning. Kevin Pillar scored on a single by Jonathan Villar in the sixth inning. Pillar drove in Lindor with a ninth inning single.

Jacob deGrom (5-2, 0.62) threw seven scoreless innings, giving up three hits and a walk with eleven strikeouts.
