Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after an entire year of watching baseball from anywhere other than the ballpark. The occasional memory refresher can come in handy. Here’s a reminder of what we may have missed while most of us were still staying at home.

Losing Pitcher: Chris Paddack (2-4, 4.24)
The Padres (34-21) were defeated by the Chicago Cubs (30-23) by a score of 7-2 in the first of three games at Wrigley Field. Chris Paddack (2-4, 4.24) gave up five runs on six hits and a walk with six strikeouts in four and a third innings. Javier Báez hit a two-run home run in the third inning. Patrick Wisdom hit a solo home run in the fourth inning. Kris Bryant hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning. Wisdom hit another solo home run in the sixth inning. Báez hit a solo home run in the seventh inning.
Kohl Stewart (1-0, 0.00) allowed one unearned run on three hits and a walk with two strikeouts over five innings. Fernando Tatis Jr. reached & went to second base on a throwing error and then scored on a single by Wil Myers in the second inning. Tatis Jr. hit a solo home run in the sixth inning.
