The Padres (4-3) lost the finale of their three game series against the San Francisco Giants (3-3) at Petco Park by a score of 3-2 in ten innings. Blake Snell (0-0, 1.86) surrendered two runs on two hits and four walks while striking out eight over five innings. Darin Ruf hit a two-run home run in the second inning. Alex Dickerson scored on Donovan Solano‘s sacrifice fly in the tenth inning.

Kevin Gausman (0-0, 1.32) gave up one run on four hits and a walk with five strikeouts in seven innings. Jorge Mateo‘s single in the fifth inning drove in Jurickson Profar. Wil Myers hit a solo home run in the eighth inning.
