Vince Velasquez (3-9, 6.30) allowed four runs on six hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in four and two-thirds innings. Mookie Betts and Corey Seager each hit a solo home run in the first inning. Justin Turner and A.J. Pollock each hit solo home runs in the fourth inning. Trea Turner scored on a Will Smith single, Smith scored on Pollock’s sacrifice fly, and J. Turner scored on a Cody Bellinger single in the sixth inning. Seager hit a solo home run in the seventh inning.
Tony Gonsolin (4-1, 3.23) gave up three runs on four hits and two walks while striking out five in four and two-thirds innings. Ha-Seong Kim hit a solo home run in the second inning. Fernando Tatis Jr. hit a two-run home run with Webster Rivas on base in the fifth inning.
