Yu Darvish (8-10, 4.13) pitched seven shutout innings, giving up three hits and a walk while striking out nine. Harrison Bader scored on a Tommy Edman sacrifice fly and Tyler O’Neill hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning.
Adam Wainwright (16-7, 2.89) allowed two runs on seven hits and no walks with two strikeouts in six innings. Tommy Pham singled to drive in Manny Machado and a single by Victor Caratini scored Adam Frazier in the fourth inning.
