Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after a couple of days of partying with fellow Padres fans in the Gaslamp. The occasional memory refresher can come in handy. Here’s a friendly reminder of what we may have missed while we were drinking.

The Padres (20-16) score more runs than the New York Mets (16-19), 4-0, in the first of three games at Petco Park. Chris Paddack (3-1, 1.55) pitched seven and two-thirds shutout innings, giving up four hits and a walk while striking out eleven.
Jacob deGrom (2-4, 3.60) allowed two runs on four hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in seven innings. Hunter Renfroe hit a solo home run in the fifth inning. In the seventh inning, Ty France’s sacrifice fly drove in Eric Hosmer. Hosmer’s double in the eighth inning brought Manuel Margot and Manny Machado in to score.
