Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after a couple of days of partying with fellow Padres fans in the Gaslamp. The occasional memory refresher can come in handy. Here’s a friendly reminder of what we may have missed while we were drinking.

The Padres (21-18) scored fewer runs than the Colorado Rockies (18-20), 12-2, in the first of three games at Coors Field. Eric Lauer (2-4, 5.75) allowed eight runs on eight hits and two walk with one strikeout in three-plus innings. Trevor Story hit a two-run home run in the third inning. In the fourth inning, Tony Wolters hit an RBI single, Márquez hit a bases-loaded double to drive in three runs, Daniel Murphy hit a two-run double, and Ian Desmond drove in a run with a single. Nolan Arenado hit a triple to drive in two runs and scored on Murphy’s ground out in the eighth inning.

German Márquez (4-2, 3.43) gave up two runs on ten hits and no walks while striking out seven in five and two-thirds innings. In the fifth inning, Manny Machado’s single scored Greg Garcia and a single by Ty France drove in Franmil Reyes.
