Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after a couple of days of partying with fellow Padres fans in the Gaslamp. The occasional memory refresher can come in handy. Here’s a friendly reminder of what we may have missed while we were drinking.

The Padres (70-90) scored fewer runs than the Jingle Bells of Arizona (83-77), 6-3, in the first game of three at Chase Field. Eric Lauer (8-10, 4.45) allowed two runs (one earned) over four and two-thirds innings on three hits and four walks while striking out eight. In the fifth inning, Christian Walker drew a bases-loaded walk & Carson Kelly scored and Wilmer Flores scored on an Adam Jones fielder’s choice & fielding error by Luis Urías. In the eighth inning, Kelly reached on a fielder’s choice to score Jarrod Dyson and Jake Lamb hit a three-run pinch hit home run.

Taylor Clarke (5-5, 5.31) gave up one run on two hits and a walk with four strikeouts in three innings. Greg Garcia scored on Eric Hosmer‘s sacrifice fly in the first inning. Manny Machado hit a solo home run in the sixth inning. Luis Torrens scored on a double by Urías in the seventh inning.
