Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after a couple of days of partying with fellow Padres fans in the Gaslamp. The occasional memory refresher can come in handy. Here’s a friendly reminder of what we may have missed while we were drinking.

Losing Pitcher: Chris Paddack (7-7, 3.84)
The Padres (59-68) were shutout by the Boston Red Sox (69-61), 11-0, in the first of three games at Petco Park. Chris Paddack (7-7, 3,84) gave up six runs in two and a third innings on seven hits and a walk with no strikeouts. J.D. Martinez hit a three-run home run in the first inning. In the second inning, Mitch Moreland scored on Mookie Betts‘ sacrifice fly, Brock Holt scored on a Rafael Devers double, and Devers came home on Xander Bogaerts‘ double. Martinez’s sacrifice fly in the fourth inning drove Devers in. Eduardo Rodriguez scored on a single by Bogaerts and Martinez hit another three-run home run in the sixth inning.
Rodriguez (15-5, 3,92) shutout the Padres over seven innings, giving up five hits and a walk with six strikeouts.
