Adrian Morejon (0-1, 13.50) pitched two innings to open the game, giving up three runs on two hits and two walks with two strikeouts. Cody Bellinger reached on a fielder’s choice in the second inning allowing Max Muncy to score. In the third inning, Mookie Betts scored on a single by Corey Seager & throwing error by Fernando Tatis Jr., Seager scored on a single by Justin Turner, an A.J. Pollock single drove in Turner, and Bellinger & Pollock scored on a single by Joc Pederson. Will Smith singled to drive in Betts in the fourth inning. In the ninth inning, a Smith double drove in Betts & Turner and a Bellinger triple brought Muncy & Smith home.
Dustin May (1-0, 0.00) pitched one inning, allowing no runs with one walk and one strikeout. Jake Cronenworth drew a bases-loaded walk to bring Eric Hosmer home and a Trent Grisham single drove in Wil Myers in the second inning. Manny Machado came home on a balk in the sixth inning.
