Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after an entire year of watching baseball from anywhere other than the ballpark. The occasional memory refresher can come in handy. Here’s a reminder of what we may have missed while most of us were still staying at home.

The Padres (38-30) were defeated by a score of 3-2 by the Colorado Rockies (26-41) in the first of three games at Coors Field. Dinelson Lamet (1-2, 3.33) gave up one run on four hits and two walks with three strikeouts in four innings. Yonathan Daza scored on a single by Trevor Story in the third inning. C.J. Cron hit a solo home run in the seventh inning. Charlie Blackmon scored on Ryan McMahon’s double in the eighth inning.

Austin Gomber (6-5, 3.54) pitched eight shutout innings on three hits and no walks with four strikeouts. Trent Grisham hit a two-run home run with Tommy Pham on base in the ninth inning.
