The Padres (12-11) were defeated by a score of 5-4 by the Los Angeles dodgers (15-6) in the third of four games at dodger Stadium. Blake Snell (0-0, 3.92) allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks with seven strikeouts over five and a third innings. Mookie Betts scored on a single by Justin Turner in the third inning. A single by Sheldon Neuse drove in A.J. Pollock in the fourth inning. In the sixth inning, a bases-loaded walk to Betts allowed Neuse to come home and Corey Seager‘s single drove in Chris Taylor & Matt Beaty.

Trevor Bauer (3-0, 2.53) gave up three runs (two earned) on five hits and no walk while striking out nine in six innings. Fernando Tatis Jr. hit a solo home run to lead off the game in the first inning. Wil Myers scored on a single by Jurickson Profar in the second inning. Tatis Jr. hit another solo home run in the sixth inning. Jake Cronenworth scored on a Blake Treinen wild pitch to Tatis Jr. in the seventh inning.
