The Padres (9-7) were defeated by the Los Angeles dodgers (13-2) by a score of 2-0 in the second of three games at Petco Park. Yu Darvish (1-1, 2.55) gave up one run on one hit and two walks with nine strikeouts over seven innings. Clayton Kershaw drew a bases-loaded walk in the fifth inning. Justin Turner hit a solo home run in the ninth inning.

Kershaw (3-1, 2.19) pitched six shutout innings, giving up two hits and two walks with eight strikeouts. The Padres couldn’t capitalize with runners in scoring position, going 1-for-6, and leaving a total of seven runners on base.

I don’t understand the drama. Barnes got excited and extended his glove for the K. Profar was checking the swing and hit the glove. Even if Profar was “trying” to do it as Kershaw seems to think, Barnes made it possible by extending. Dumb argument.
