The Padres (67-53) defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks by a score of 8-2 in the finale of their four-game series at Chase Field. Craig Stammen (5-3, 3.21) opened the Padres bullpen game with two scoreless innings with two hits, no walks, and one strikeout. Josh Rojas scored on a Ketel Marte triple in the third inning. Rojas hit a solo home run in the fifth inning.

Zac Gallen (1-7, 5.03) gave up four runs on eight hits and three walks with five strikeouts in five innings. Fernando Tatis Jr. returned from the injured list — and started in right field — by hitting a solo home run in the third inning. Tatis Jr. hit another solo home run and Jake Cronenworth hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning. Victor Caratini & Trent Grisham scored on a Tatis Jr. bases-loaded single, Cronenworth drew a bases-loaded walk to score Wil Myers, and Tatis Jr. scored on a wild pitch by Sean Poppen to Tommy Pham in the eighth inning.
