Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after a couple of days of trying to login to Zoom meetings with fellow Padres fans. The occasional memory refresher can come in handy. Here’s a friendly reminder of what we may have missed while we were stuck in quarantine.

The Padres (4-1) scored more runs than the San Francisco Giants (2-3), 5-3, in the first game of three at Oracle Park. Zach Davies (1-0, 3.60) allowed two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out five in five-plus innings. Mike Yastrzemski scored on a single by Wilmer Flores in the first inning. Mauricio Durbon scored on a ground out by Flores and Yastrzemski scored on a single by Tyler Heineman in the sixth inning.

Jeff Samardzija (0-1, 11.25) pitched four innings, giving up five runs on four hits and a walk with one strikeout. Fernando Tatís Jr. hit a three-run home run with Wil Myers and Francisco Mejía on base in the third inning. Myers hit a two-run home run with Eric Hosmer on base in the fourth inning.
