The Padres (13-12) scored more runs than the Texas Rangers (10-12), 6-4, in the second of two games at Globe Life Field. Adrian Morejon (0-0, 0.00) shutout the Rangers over three innings while not allowing a hit and giving up only one walk with four strikeouts to open a bullpen game. Joey Gallo hit a three-run home run and Nick Solak scored on Scott Heineman‘s double in the fourth inning.
Mike Minor (0-4, 6.94) allowed six runs on nine hits and a walk while striking out six in three and two-thirds innings. Wil Myers hit a grand slam home run with Fernando Tatís Jr., Manny Machado, and Eric Hosmer on base in the first inning. Jurickson Profar hit a two-run home run with Jake Cronenworth on base in the fourth inning.
