Joey Lucchesi (7-4, 3.92) allowed two runs on three hits and two walk with four strikeouts over five innings. Josh Donaldson hit a two-run home run in the first inning. Ronald Acuna Jr. hit a solo home run in the seventh inning. Donaldson scored on an Austin Riley sacrifice fly in the eighth inning. In the tenth inning, Donaldson scored on a single by Ozzie Albies and Tyler Flowers drove in Albies & Riley with a double.
Julio Teheran (5-6, 3.71) gave up three runs (two earned) over six innings on three hits and a walk while striking out six. Manny Machado hit a solo home run in the first inning. Francisco Mejia hit a solo home run and Manuel Margot scored on Josh Naylor‘s pinch-hit sacrifice fly in the fifth inning. In the seventh inning, Margot stole home on a double steal with Fernando Tatis Jr. taking second base. Machado hit a solo home run in the tenth inning.
