Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after a couple of days of partying with fellow Padres fans in the Gaslamp. The occasional memory refresher can come in handy. Here’s a friendly reminder of what we may have missed while we were drinking.

Losing Pitcher: Dinelson Lamet (0-2, 6.30)

The Padres (45-46) scored fewer runs, 5-3, than the Atlanta Braves (55-37) in the first of three games at Petco Park. Dinelson Lamet (0-2, 6.30) gave up four runs on five hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in five innings. Josh Donaldson hit a three-run home run in the first inning. Ronald Acuna Jr. hit a solo home run in the fifth inning. Donaldson added a solo home run in the eighth inning.
Dallas Keuchel (3-2, 3.09) allowed one run on six hits and four walks while striking out five over seven innings. Manny Machado hit a solo home run in the sixth inning. Machado scored on Francisco Mejia‘s single in the eighth inning. Eric Hosmer‘s ninth inning single drove in Manuel Margot.
Home plate umpire Dana DeMuth was hit on the left forearm by a foul tip in the first inning and was replaced by first base umpire Angel Hernandez, with only three umpires on the field for the rest of the game.
