Life can get a little confusing at times. A regularly scheduled reminder is very convenient. So here’s a refresher of what happened during the last week in faith.

Game 154 – September 27
Padres 4, dodgers 3 (10 Innings)
The Padres (86-68) defeated the Los Angeles dodgers (106-48) in the first game of three at Petco Park by a score of 4-3 in ten innings. Blake Snell (8-9, 3.47) pitched five shutout innings, allowing one hit and three walks with six strikeouts.
Manny Machado & Brandon Drury scored after a Wil Myers single in the first inning. Trent Grisham scored in the eighth inning when Drury reached on an error by Justin Turner. Jorge Alfaro drew a bases-loaded, walk-off walk in the tenth inning to bring José Azocar in to score the winning run.

Game 155 – September 28
dodgers 1, Padres 0 (10 Innings)
The Padres (86-69) were defeated by a score of 1-0 in ten innings in the second game of three at Petco Park with the Los Angeles dodgers (107-48). Joe Musgrove (10-7, 3.03) allowed four hits and four walks while striking out eight in five shutout innings.

Game 156 – September 29
dodgers 5, Padres 2
The Padres (86-70) were defeated by the Los Angeles dodgers (108-48) in the finale of their three-game series at Petco Park by a score of 5-2. Steven Wilson (4-2, 2.82) opened the game with a scoreless, hitless, walkless inning with two strikeouts before making way for Sean Manaea (7-9, 5.15). Manaea pitched four innings, giving up one run on two hits and no walks with three strikeouts.
Brandon Drury‘s first inning single drove in Jurickson Profar and Juan Soto for the Padres’ only runs.

Chicago White Sox vs Padres @ Petco Park

Game 157 – September 30
White Sox 3, Padres 1
The Padres (86-71) were defeated by a score of 3-1 in the first of three games against the Chicago White Sox (78-79) at Petco Park. Yu Darvish (16-8, 3.10) allowed three runs on eight hits and a walk with six strikeouts in six innings.
Brandon Drury scored on a Josh Bell single in the second inning for the Padres’ only run.
Game 158 – October 1
Padres 5, White Sox 2
The Padres (87-71) defeated the Chicago White Sox (78-80) by a score of 5-2 in the second of three games at Petco Park. Mike Clevinger (7-7, 4.33) allowed one run on three hits and no walks with three strikeouts in six innings.
Juan Soto hit a solo home run in the first inning. Jake Cronenworth hit a two-run home run and an Austin Nola single drove in Brandon Drury in the sixth inning. Manny Machado hit a solo home run in the seventh inning.

Game 159 – October 2
White Sox 2, Padres 1
The Padres (87-72) were defeated by a score of 2-1 in the finale of their three-game series with the Chicago White Sox (79-80) at Petco Park. Blake Snell (8-10, 3.38) allowed one run on three hits and a walk with six strikeouts in six innings.
Ha-Seong Kim hit a solo home run in the seventh inning for the Padres’ lone run.

The Milwaukee Brewers lost to the Miami Marlins, meaning the Padres made the postseason as a Wild Card team despite their loss to the White Sox.
