Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after a couple of days of trying to login to Zoom meetings with fellow Padres fans. The occasional memory refresher can come in handy. Here’s a friendly reminder of what we may have missed while we were stuck in quarantine.

The Padres (16-12) scored more runs than the Houston Astros (15-11), 4-3, in the first of three games at Petco Park. Garrett Richards (1-1, 3.52) pitched just two innings, allowing one run on four hits and three walks with four strikeouts, but throwing sixty-four pitches. George Springer scored on a single by Carlos Correa in the first inning. Myles Straw doubled to drive in Taylor Jones in the sixth inning. Kyle Tucker‘s single in the seventh inning brought Jose Altuve home.

Lance McCullers Jr. (2-2, 5.74) gave up four runs on seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts over five innings. Manny Machado‘s single drove in Eric Hosmer in the first inning. Jake Cronenworth scored on a Jurickson Profar sacrifice fly in the fourth inning. Trent Grisham scored on a Machado single and Machado scored on a Cronenworth double in the fifth inning.
