Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after a couple of days of partying with fellow Padres fans in the Gaslamp. The occasional memory refresher can come in handy. Here’s a friendly reminder of what we may have missed while we were drinking.

The Padres (68-79) scored fewer runs, 10-8, than the Colorado Rockies (63-85) in the first of three games at Coors Field. Joey Lucchesi (10-8, 4.22) gave up eight runs on nine hits and no walks with two strikeouts in three and two-thirds innings. Nolan Arenado hit a two-run home run in the first inning. Pat Valaika scored on Yonathan Daza‘s sacrifice fly in the second inning. In the fourth inning, Daniel Murphy came home on a Valaika double, Drew Butera singled to drive in Valaika, Trevor Story hit a two-run home run, and Garrett Hampson hit a solo home run. Story hit a solo home run in the sixth inning. A Charlie Blackmon pinch-hit sacrifice fly drove in Story in the eighth inning.
Jeff Hoffman (2-6, 7.03) allowed four runs on four hits and six walks with four strikeouts in five and a third innings. Austin Hedges hit a two-run home run in the second inning. In the sixth inning, Wil Myers scored on Luis Urías‘ single, Josh Naylor came home on a single by Ty France, Nick Martini doubled to drive in Hedges, and Eric Hosmer was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to score France. Naylor scored in the seventh inning when Urías reached on a throwing error.
