Eric Lauer (5-8, 4.58) allowed four runs on six hits and three walks while striking out one in just two and a third innings. J.D. Davis scored on a Wilson Ramos sacrifice fly, Todd Frazier‘s double drove in Pete Alonso & Robinson Canó, and Michael Conforto singled to bring Frazier home, all in the first inning.

Jacob deGrom (6-7, 2.86) shutout the Padres over seven innings on four hits and a walk with nine strikeouts.
