The Padres (44-45) scored more runs than the Los Angeles Dodgers (60-31), 3-1, in the third game of four at Dodger Stadium. Chris Paddack (5-4, 2.84) shut the Dodgers out over five and two-thirds innings on three hit and a walk while striking out six. Alex Verdugo scored on a Justin Turner single in the eighth inning. Turner advanced to second base on the play via a Manny Machado throwing error.

Kenta Maeda (7-5, 3.76) gave up three runs on four hits and a walk with six strikeouts in seven and two-thirds innings. Hunter Renfroe hit a solo home run in the seventh inning. Manuel Margot hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning.
