The Padres (22-19) scored fewer run than the Colorado Rockies (19-21), 10-7, in the finale of their three game series at Coors Field. Nick Margevicius (2-4, 4.14) pitched five innings, allowing five runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out five. In the second inning, Ryan McMahon doubled to drive in Raimel Tapia, Tony Wolters singled to score McMahon, and Charlie Blackmon hit a two-run home run. Blackmon hit a solo home run in the fourth inning. Daniel Murphy’s bases-loaded double in the seventh drove in three runs and Tapia hit a two-run home run.

Antonio Senzatela (3-2, 5.35) gave up three runs on four hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in six and two-thirds innings. Margevicius scored on a Manny Machado sacrifice fly in the third inning. Alex Dickerson hit a pinch-hit single to drive in Wil Myers and Greg Garcia doubled to score Austin Allen in the seventh inning. In the ninth inning, Myers scored on Garcia’s single and Franmil Reyes hit a three-run home run.
