The Hangover 2020 – Games 17-20

Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after a couple of days of trying to login to Zoom meetings with fellow Padres fans. The occasional memory refresher can come in handy. Here’s a friendly reminder of what we may have missed while we were stuck in quarantine.

The Padres (10-7) scored more runs, 2-1, than the Los Angeles Dodgers (11-6) in the first game of four at Dodger Stadium. Luis Perdomo (0-0, 6.00) gave up one run on two hits and a walk with no strikeouts as he opened the game with one inning pitched. Matt Strahm, Cal Quantrill, Craig Stammen, Emilio Pagán, and Drew Pomeranz shut the Dodgers out over the next eight innings on two hits off Quantrill and two walks by Stammen, while striking out six. Joc Pederson scored on a single by Cody Bellinger in the first inning.

Dustin May (1-1, 2.75) allowed two runs on five hits and two walks with two strikeouts in six innings. Austin Hedges hit a solo home run in the fifth inning. Eric Hosmer‘s single in the sixth inning drove in Trent Grisham.
