Dinelson Lamet (2-2, 3.95) gave up three runs on six hits and a walk with six strikeouts over six innings. Jean Segura scored on Scott Kingery‘s double and Kingery came home on Zach Eflin‘s single in the second inning. J.T. Realmuto hit a solo home run in the third inning.
Eflin (7-11, 4.57) allowed three runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out two in three and two-thirds innings. Manuel Margot singled to drive in Ty France and Josh Naylor doubled to score Lamet in the fourth inning. In the fifth inning, a France single scored Eric Hosmer and Luis Urías singled to drive in Hunter Renfroe.
