The Hangover 2019 – Games 106-107

Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after a couple of days of partying with fellow Padres fans in the Gaslamp. The occasional memory refresher can come in handy. Here’s a friendly reminder of what we may have missed while we were drinking.

Padres 8, Baltimore Orioles 1

Winning Pitcher: Chris Paddack (7-5, 2.78)

Losing Pitcher: David Hess (1-10, 7.31)

The Padres (50-56) scored more runs than the Baltimore Orioles (35-71), 8-1, in the first of two games at Petco Park. Chris Paddack (7-5, 2.78) gave up one run in five and a third innings on three hits and two walks with five strikeouts. Jonathan Villar scored on Anthony Santander‘s single in the third inning.

David Hess (1-10, 7.31) allowed five runs on six hits and no walks while striking out seven in four and two-thirds innings. Fernando Tatís Jr. and Franmil Reyes hit back-to-back solo home runs in the first inning. Eric Hosmer hit a two-run home run and Luis Urías hit a solo home run in the fourth inning. Hosmer hit a three-run home run in the seventh inning.
